The Styrian Association for Education and Economics (STVG) is a Non-Government, Not-for-Profit organisation working at the interfaces between the world of education and the world of work.

• In close cooperation with the social partners – especially Chamber of commerce, Federation of industry – and educational institutions – as there are the Styrian school board, provincial network for further education and training, etc. – STVG provides educational offers and programs in all relevant areas of lifelong learning.

• seminars and courses for different target groups, students, apprentices, teachers, trainers, within in-company-training and for open audiences, with topics concerning the brandmark of STVG: “Knowledge. Skills. Personality.” – especially in the areas of subjects, themes and competences concerning economics, personal development and co-operation in education and business
• lifelong guidance – career counselling in all phases of lifespan, early childhood education, school, post-secondary, tertiary, further training and adult education, with main focuses on the essential transition points between compulsory school education and further vocational training in apprenticeship as well as the interface between upper secondary and further tertiary or professional pathways.
• Entrepreneurship education – Junior Achievement – Young Enterprise, JUNIOR Companies, business plan competitions, online education and simulation games for business and entrepreneurship, as well as an integrated common approach of development of “career management skills” in all educational processes and organisations

• Transversal issues like European and global dimension, gender, inclusion, ICT, innovation and creativity, mobility and flexibility are respected and driven in a structured way in all work programs, services, projects and activities of STVG
• Strategy and policy – it is a main aim and objective of all activities of STVG to initiate and support sustainable and comprehensive developments in the areas of education and economics in that STVG is responsible active – this includes participation in policy working groups and strategic platforms as well as initiatives and developments, also by order of regional and national authorities, concerning policy programs and recommendations in the area of education and economics

In the province Styria STVG is working at all levels, from the very micro level, regional level, municipalities, districts and at the provincial level, working together with authorities of the different levels – municipalities, districts, province – as well as together with the institutions and organisations, schools, enterprises and other partners of activities, projects and programs.

Additional STVG is part of the Austrian wide network of the Austrian Association for Education and Economics, is responsible for the nationwide steering of this network and STVG is running a lot of projects in co-operation with national authorities nationwide.

STVG takes responsibility for European networks and projects, as co-ordinator and as partner, and is involved in worldwide activities, based on OECD, UNESCO etc. often representing the Republic Austria resp. the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education and Economics ore legal based educational platforms, as for adult education, e.g. in Australia, Brazil, China, New Zealand.
