- Reducing Early School Leaving? Reducing Drop outs?
Research in the Netherlands show that 33% of the number of early school leavers is caused by a lack of good quality of career orientation and career guidance. European wide career orientation and career guidance is one of the most important topics to reduce early school leaving. That’s why in our municipality a lot of effort is put in the development of high quality career orientation/career guidance. Entrepeneurial spirit makes students more active to take the responsibility in the learning process.
- For better understanding of processes and cooperation within enterprises and companies?
Entrepeneurship education builds a bridge between the demands on the labour market and the programs in schools. The connection/relation with companies is necessary to get actual and future labour market information. Important is that this information is used within the schools to prepare students for the labour market.
- Support founding an own business?
More and more young people become entrepreneurial spirit. In the Netherlands the number of people who start their own business is growing. The labour market however is hard to predict. Economy crisis was disappearing, but at this moment there is a lot of uncertainty on the labourmarket.
- Strengthening personality and self awareness?
It is clear that entrepeneurship education plays an important role in building strong personalities. Projectwork, stimulation of an active work attitude, own responsibility is a successful approach.
- For finding personal perspectives for educational and professional pathways?
Entrepeneurship education triggers students to think out-of-the-box, to think about career on the short term and the long term! |
