Professionshøjskolen UCC/University College UCC was established in 2007 and represents today a number of higher education institutions, which offers graduate and postgraduate studies at 14 different locations in the capital region. UCC has a staff that amount app. 1000 people that services around 10.000 fulltime and 12.000 part time students.

UCC offers a wide range of bachelor and postgraduate programmes, including: Teacher education, Social education, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Relaxation and psychomotor therapy, Textile and handicraft design and sign language.

Supplementary diploma degrees are offered within the fields: Educational leadership, literacy development, youth education and supervision, Career Guidance, and social education.

UCC is engaged in research and development projects at both National and international level has professional and academic networking as a priority, to boost the quality of our study programmes. Additionally, UCC is engaged in the Nordic and European Internationalisation programmes and professional development activities through NGO’s and consultancy work in developing countries

Working area: UCC is operating at local, regional and European level. As examples, UCC provides expert assistance/consultancy services at local level to schools and municipalities, e.g. in connection with implementing new school curricula and/or new pedagogical and didactic tools and approaches. At a regional and national level UCC participates, for example, in professional networks dealing with youth education and career guidance.

The courses offered by UCC are targeted toward a broad audience and, depending on the specific course or degree; they have a Regional or National scope, with participation of students from all regions in Denmark. Some courses, like the teacher training programme has a regional scope, whilst a number of shorter courses and conferences address a National audience.
