Web Star is a competition in web publishing for Swedish primary and secondary students. They make the websites of any school and the first prize is SEK 20 000. It is. SE (The Internet Infrastructure Foundation) who are behind the competition.
The aim is to develop the use of the Internet in school and to pupils in Swedish schools will gain proficiency in using the Internet to publish content and spread meaningful messages.
Web publishing is that students learn to handle a content management system and writing web-friendly. They may also be aware of copyright
freedom of expression and privacy online. This is in accordance with. SE's memorandum that the Foundation is to promote research
training and education in computing and telecommunications
with particular emphasis on the Internet.
